Ringstone AI are looking for a long-term contractor to work for the UK division of an international client. Reporting into a US-based team, you will also report into a UK-based manager but have the opportunity to grow and shape the role of Solutions Architect in the UK.

The business are a supply chain logistics organisation for the Oil and Gas industry and are looking for a blockchain specialist with containerization and cloud experience. The role….

• Design, develop and document software architectural solutions based on business requirements and needs.

• Recommend architecture changes to backend systems to enhance system capabilities.
• Understanding of Architecture Frameworks.
• Ability to document architectural solutions.
• Strong experience in Azure Services, preferably Azure Solutions Architect certified.
• Experience in other cloud vendors including AWS, and GCP.
• Strong experience with blockchain, preferably Quorum.
• Strong experience with containerization, preferably Kubernetes/Docker.
• Microservices running in a Kubernetes infrastructure, utilizing AKS, EKS, Openshift or other k8s solutions.
• Ability to PoC different design patterns, technologies, reusable code, to developers and business stakeholders.
• Knowledge of GIT and repository tools and structures, best practices.
• Experience in Agile and DevSecOps environments.
• Experience with configuration and orchestration tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Ansible, Terraform, Puppet).
• Experience in developing new deployment pipelines.
• Monitor Cloud systems and infrastructure solutions.
• Identify and improve API redundant calls, long running calls, orchestrated calls, and recommend changes to optimize.
• Experience as a senior resource for infrastructure/architecture and design large scale Azure and AWS deployment.

• Ability to implement and operate Azure and AWS Platform.
• Certified AWS architect preferred but not required.
• Experience with AWS CI/CD Pipeline deployments using Jenkins and/or Gitlab Runners.
• Windows and Linux OS command line experience.
• Strong communication skills (Written, verbal and interpersonal) to lead and effectively engage stakeholders across multi-discipline to conceptualize best-fit solution from available technical options.
• Be able to clearly articulate pros and cons and lead the team to right technology path.
