Our client are a Data & Analytics company that help marketing teams improve their ROI. They are in the growth stage of the business and needs to hire a Data Engineer to work with the existing team. They are ideally looking for candidates with 2-3 years experience and maybe looking to take a step up from a Junior Data Engineer. The role will be reporting in to the Data & Analytics Director. If you have a passion for marketing data then this would be an opportunity to gain a deeper knowledge in to the sector and be part of this promising industry.

This position can be remote however you will need to be commutable to Swansea where they are based for when you will be required to come in to the office.

The role…

  • Planning, code and deploy data automations to power business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Resolving data issues together with clients when planning and developing data solutions.
  • Working with client and Senior Data Engineer to gather data requirements and translate these into implementation plans.
  • Maintaining client’s scheduled data pipelines running.
  • Working with colleagues to offer varied automation solutions.
  • Setting up suitable database or warehouse environments.
  • Assisting in training colleagues on data manipulation, transformation and automation techniques.
  • Working with internal stakeholders to develop best practise for data infrastructure.

You will have…

  • Working knowledge of Python (or R), most specifically data transformation packages (Pandas)
  • Understanding of SQL
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud service and infrastructure
  • Knowledge and experience in ETL pipelines, data warehousing and automating processes
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Familiarity with large datasets handling methodologies

  • Git, manipulation, wrangling, ETL, regular expressions
