The role….
- Architect, develop and maintain a data platform to be used by client’s customers, data scientists and other engineers
- Build out a robust infrastructure for dealing with large amounts of data
- Define ways to measure the quality and consistency of data
- Define measures to keep up a high level of code quality
- Be passionate about data and keeping it organised and accessible
- Team up on projects, coach and learn good practices
- Having regular scrums and focus meetings
- Having lots of fun with your passionate engineers
You will have…
- 5 years of relevant experience in full software development lifecycle in delivering big data pipelines into production,
- Deep understanding of Data Warehousing concepts (we are using Kimball methodology),
- Knowledge of Hadoop, especially Spark,
- Deep experience with AWS – we are using S3, Aurora RDS, Step Functions, Fargate, SSM, KMS, Lambdas
- DevOps mindset.
- Experience with JVM OOP language (like Scala or Java),
- Experience with scripting language like Python, Javascript or bash,
- Quick learner
- A great understanding of quality and how to improve quality processes
- Someone that wants to have a maximum impact
