Ewout Mante has been active in AI for 30 years.
Ewout started his career with McKinsey and then lived and worked in Palo Alto, Silicon Valley for 15 years helping build several startups. Two were acquired by listed companies (Hologic and Versatel) and one went public (QuinStreet, one of the internet advertising pioneers, which partnered with Google to create the Adwords API). Among others, he managed an early AI-system to find cancer in mammograms, the first AI product approved by the US Food and Drug Administration. GE invested, and gradually medical diagnostics companies like GE, Siemens, Philips, and Kodak adopted the way this startup chose to organize the medical data. This became the current global standard for mammography meta-data. Ewout has a Masters in Software Engineering (Imperial College, London) and an MBA (Harvard/MIT).
